On Friday a new exhibition at Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin opens. Conceptual artist Karin Sander brings together the work of 566 Berlin-based artists in the extensive exhibition “Zeigen. An Audio Tour through Berlin”.
The unusual thing about this exhibition is that the space seems empty at first. Only the names of the participating artists appear on the walls. The explanation: Karin Sander asked her fellow artists to translate their own work into an acoustic piece.
The “interpretations” can be accessed from an audio guide – performed sung, spoken, recited. The non-visual approach makes room for an individual, imaginativ experience, where the visitor creates his/her own conception of the art work.
