Ich bin ein schnitzel!

If you fancy a super size, thinly pounded cut of veal coated in breadcrumbs, fried and served with a slice of lemon and potato salad, read on!

There are lots of places in Berlin to get a Wiener Schnitzel but which is better?

1. Austria in Kreuzberg (this one also comes upon recommendation from meat connoisseur Robin)

2. Schneeweiß in Friedrichshain where the Schnitzel comes in minimalistic, white and wooden surroundings

3. Bötzow in Mitte (bonus: wash it down with a world class Tegernseer draft)

    I have the impression that “Gutbürgerliche Deutsche Küche” is getting more and more popular among younger people…Could that be?

    Jolesch in Kreuzberg also has amazing Schnitzel, easily the best I’ve ever had.
