Photo from outside BBB today
Appearantly Diesel doesn’t agree on that point of view. Can you think of a more … stupid(!) campaign? And it seems to last forever. At least since the last Fashion Week in Berlin. C’mon!!
Berlin Fashion Week coming up! Due to a currently less balanced work load I can’t attend so many events but then again, I don’t think I’ll cry myself to sleep over it.
I will however go to (or have to prioritize between) the Bread & Butter opening + fair, the key to fair, an organic brunch at siebenundsiebzig, the Ellesse by Wood Wood event, Designer Scouts Fashion Show, The Big Trip by Bright, Weekday shop opening and a barbecue at Burg & Schild.
I just discovered the Berlin lingerie brand Dorotea Time and instantly loved the brand based on this playful photo shoot.
Dorothee Erle is the creative mind behind the colorful delicates – and the artist behind the imaginative backdrop on the photos. I just mailed her to find out where to see the whole collection.
The model is Miss Julietta La Doll, a Berlin based burlesque performer. She can actually be seen live tonight along with other burlesque performers at La Fete Fatale. I’m tempted. Imagine the photos one could take.
It was during Bowie’s time in Berlin that he declared to have killed his alter ego Ziggy. Imagine that Bowie moved here as a retreat from “snowy” L.A. Taking Iggy Pop with him. In the late 70es.
Thomas Jerome Seabrook’s book “A New Career In A New Town: Bowie in Berlin” covering that time of Bowie’s life comes well-recommended. Don’t know if any of you can pass on other tips?
Japanese designer Kansai Yamamoto is the master mind behind several of Ziggy’s tour outfits from the early seventies.
SO many people at last night’s WOOD WOOD show. More photos to come. Also from the following party. Being Sunday lazy.
I had dinner at a friend’s place last night and we made a last minute decision to go to the Vibskov show.
- Flavour will laugh at this: It turned out I knew someone at the door, so we got in without a ticket.
Vibskov’s A/W 2010 collection was very fine indeed! The venue was a big warehouse, we sat on wooden benches and the drinks: golden ladies in a can. Only drawback: it was arschkalt.

I’m in Copenhagen for the week and yesterday I went to the launch party of Soulland’s A/W 2010 collection, “The Walk”.
Very laidback atmosphere with help-yourself Budweisers and vodka/soda. Unlike how fashion week can be. Instead of a show, a short movie presenting the collection (The Walk) was projected on the walls.
Danish designer Stine Goya was there too along with two friends. All dressed in designs from her S/S 2010 collection.
I LOVED her work! Art that I can understand and relate to. You can tell she has a background in fashion design and she uses those perspectives in her artistic expression.
What I found most impressive: all the peculiar little details and kind of playful, esthetic appeal. Do yourself a favour and go see the pieces in real life.
The exhibit is on until March 6.
Helle with her frolic hat that reminded me of something from the Roger Rabbit movie. I want one!
Just last week I started blogging for the Object Fashion blog as well. As you can tell form the name it’s mainly about fashion but I can basically write about what I want. So i posted the photos from my roommates label launch there. LINK
Object Collectors Item, a Danish fashion label is behind the blog. We are eight girls blogging from around the world: Amsterdam, N.Y, London, L.A etc. All quite different (style/taste/life-wise) which I find really cool. There’s something for everybody.
New blog design on it’s way. Follow me here and there.
