The second hand institution in Neue Schönhauser had a baby sister! Made in Berlin opened yet another store today. Friedrichstraße 114.

Visited the guys from Second City Studio at their showroom on Saturday. Will post photos later this week!
They’re opening their doors for a sale this weekend. Make sure to stop by and check out the great styles from various Italian brands. Men’s and Women’s collections.

On my walk on Thursday, I stopped by Burg & Schild in Rosa Luxemburg Straße. My first visit and I honestly don’t know why I didn’t stop by sooner.
- because they sell men’s wear would be the obvious answer but the interior design alone is reason enough to pop in. Besides James Dean it reminded me of the old John Wayne movies I’d watch with my dad on Sunday afternoons when I was a kid.
As previously mentioned I have a thing for this modern western/bike rider/lumber jack look. If you share my affection, pay the guys at B&S a visit.

Merci for the coffee Sebastian. Notice the detail with the tin cups!

Getting all nostalgic. (P.S I’d like to have the jacket of Arthur Hunnicutt and the hat of James Caan – didn’t even know he was in this movie)
50 % to 70 % off on all collections, Friday and Saturday 12:00 – 20:00

Ooops, forgot to post this earlier. But you can still make it. Fleemarket starts at 13:00. Here.

Some of the clothes in this store are overpriced in a “It’s 2nd hand for christ sake!”-way. But with others you wonder “Was this priced wrong?” and you start thinking of arguments just in case the sales assistant says it was indeed priced wrong.
So it’s definately worth a visit now and then! Jumbo Secondhand is located HERE close to Görlitzer Bahnhof.

I went out for dinner with the German Red Wing/Filson/Master Smith crew (Agentur Treibstoff) during fashion week. I have a thing for the modern version of James Dean meets lumber jack.
My eyes are on these babies that I should probably aqcuire before winter is over. Though, right now it seems the show will never leave Berlin.
- and even though I don’t own a pair of Red Wings (yet!) I still convinced my friend Chris to buy a pair and defeat winter in Cph. I quote: “… killer boots man!”
I posted some photos from the opening of the Berlin RED WING store back in September. Here are some impressions from the stand at Bread & Butter.

- and Master Smith, Filson and Dukes

- and two Red Wing Shoes ambassadors (- and a Filson-branded dog)

Last week I visited my friend Martin at HÜFTGOLD‘s showroom – Hüftgold (“hip gold”) is German for love handles. Sweet! Much more charming than the Danish word “bollehåndtag” – which I won’t translate here.
When the labes was founded six years ago they focused on designing belts which manifested the name Hüftgold. Since then scarfs and casual jersey designs were added to the collection. Collaborations with artists result in the unique scarf prints.
I fell in love with the tasmanian devil scarf, the metal belt, the see-through t-shirt and a full-length jersey dress from the summer 2010 collection. Now longing even more for summer.
You can find their designs e.g at Berlin department store Galeries Lafayette and Berlin design retailer Berlinomat or visit their website for more information.

I stop by The Sartorialist several times a week but this is the first time I’ve personally known one of the well-dressers on his site. Meet Daniel, the store manager of 14 oz in Berlin.

I find the name a bit misleading but might be good? Luzia is also a nice place for a drink.

The reason why I’m bloody sick of this snow – besides the fact that it’s brain cell killing cold – is that I’m a dedicated bike rider. Maybe it’s a Danish thing?
So meet Victor. My darling. My love. Hanging safe and sounds on the wall in my bedroom until the weather allows me to take him for a spin.
I bought him on ebay.de from a guy here in Berlin about two years ago. Lot’s of racing bike to find there if you are looking to invest! Search for “Rennrad”.
